Tampere twirling!

Well folks! I still have not been able to fix the problem with the photos but deleted a few so guess this can fit in :) On my to-do-list forst thing next week, I promise! I have some awesome shots from last Saturday´s Sinsational Spring Awakening...
This Saturday we will be shaking in Tampere, tickets are on sale NOW so be sure to get yours and do not miss this!!! Summer is right around the corner, hurrah!!!

Last night was amazing. Thank you Minnie Tonka and Erochica Bamboo for inspirational and fun workshops on Friday, Bettie Blackheart & Frank Doggenstein for making this happen in the first place and my fellow crazy-boobied-love-train-humping Tourettes girls and everyone else on stage & in the audience!
Next Saturday in Tampere, woop woop!

Springtime!

Tonight there will be some amazing shaking and shimmying going on at Kaisaniemi. How do I know? Because I took both Minnie Tonka's and Erochica Bamboo's workshops last night. These women are FIERCE! Plus there will be some excellent Finnish performers as well !
Last Thursday we had a show at Bar 7 Blings, good fun. The stage was a challenge since it's divided with a pillar and the audience in sitting in different directions, but I like that one has to step over the comfort zone and really work the audience :) One thing I have learned is that I try to make numbers that fit on different sized stages or things that can be modified. "In Flames" unfortunately can't be done in very small spaces due to the veil and fans might come with challenge. My upcoming "Praline Airlines" is... To be seen haha! I'm getting the last bits of my outfit today and the premiere will be next Saturday in Tampere. Have a great weekend and hope to see tonight in Kaisaniemi!

It feels like Summer already <3 There are a few gigs coming up, some of them you definetly should get tickets for because chances are there won´t be any left at the doors! This Thursday we will shake our tail feathers at the Bar 7 Blings located @ Radisson Blue, Mikonkatu in Hellsinki.
On Saturday there is the Sinsational Spring Awakening that features Minnie Tonka (US) and Erochica Bamboo (JAP/GER)! The word on the street is, Minnie is performing the same number in Hellsinki that she will compete one week later with at the Burlesque Hall of Fame with. Do you really want to miss that? REALLY? Plus the Tourettes will do our first public performance...just sayin´  ;)
And the early Summer season is topped off with T.T Tassel´s 50th twirl in Tampere on the 1st of June, the bestest of Finnish burlyQ will be there and so should you!
So off to the ticket places, SHOO!!! There is some serious glitter and shaking coming your way!!!

All different, all equal

I have been reading, with growing concern and fear, that hate crimes against non-straight people in Europe are on the rise. This is disgusting. Today is the International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia and I hope ya´ll take a minute to think about how you treat people around you. How boring would life be, if we´d all be the same? No matter skin color, sexual orientation, gender, religious beliefs or age we are all equal and have the same human rights.  By this I also mean that willing, understanding adults should be able to get married (or form a similar lawful bound, civil union or whatever you want to call it) to another, no matter the gender or sexual orientation so that we´d all have the SAME LAWFUL RIGHTS.
 Funny how when talking money, even the "pink" money is worth to be taxed the same way, but it won´t give the same rights. Stop being so concerned about what others do in their bedrooms and start putting similar energy in solving real problems like hunger, war and intolerance. Stop judging others just because you choose to live your life a certain way.
Basic, human rights. It´s not rocket science.
