Summer! Roadtrip!

Thank you everyone at Teerenpeli Tease last night! It was a wonderful, sold out event and as promised: it got HOT in the Teerenpeli basement! Hugs and love to my girl Olivia Rouge for organizing and having me, to Sir Willy for the help and company both at the farm and backstage, to the Flaming Fruitcakes (and Olivia) for helping a girl in need (wardrobe malfunctions like breaking a bra 15min
you´re supposed to be on stage is always exciting...), to Bent for bringing a bit of the Pride march with him and to Bambi, Meau, Heinz and Olli for being lovely! This is one of my favourite events to perform at, always.
Tomorrow me, Tinker Bell avec husbands are starting a very exciting, -and epic I´m sure, roadtrip towards Prague on the Via Baltica so I´ll be off the blog for a week but not to worry! Two weeks to go to the Devil´s Auction open stage happening, at the Yo-talo in Tampere! Tickets can be bought beforehand so be sure to do that and come check us out!!!

7 is magic

This Saturday, the 7th of September, there is a LOT of burlesque happenings in this country! If you are in Hellsinki, be sure to go to the restaurant boat Wäiski for the 2nd Velvet Tea Room where, among others, my girls Sandy Jungle and Pepper Sparkles will be performing!

This happened last year so get tickets in good time!

In Tampere there is the annual Circus meets Burlesque with the Reigning Queen Loulou D´Vil headlining and also Bettie Blackheart and The Finnish Blonde Burlesque Troupe among others performing!

 

And, last but by no means least, yours truly and Sir Willy Waterlily will be debuting our brand new duo in Pori at the Lainsuojattomat -theatre festival club!!!

 Today I get to go on a roadtrip with some great men, Sir Willy Waterlily and Emilano M., -it´s off to Tampere and Burlesque Assassins! Woop!

Road trip!

I just had a marvelous road trip to the East coast with Tinker Bell, Brion Bonaventura and Vera d´Vil!!! We did a show at Ravintola Kulttuurikulma, very nice place and sweet audience, thank you for the lovely feedback after the show! Seemed to be quite a few first timers watching but from the sound of it they weren´t at a burlesque show for the last time. Yippee!
I have to go and pack for the week and then, since the lawn mower is broken and I can´t do that I *have to* take a foot bath ;) I´ll leave you with some pictures and get back to ya when I have a brain instead of glue in my head. Ta!

Knackering about

It´s Friday again! Tomorrow there will be sun, a roadtrip and girl power :) Me and some of the Itty Bitty Tease Cabaret- girls are heading to the East Coast for a show in Pori! You should check out the line here! I did some (last minute) adjustments to my costume...I might not have shared this with all of you but i´m terrible at sewing. As in...*horrible*. I have not worn that costume in a few months and you can imagine my horror when I checked it last week to see that all is as it should be and NO! there´s a melon missing! Being in the middle of May as a teacher my schedule is crammed so I had no time to visit Lohikari but fortunately I had some plastic fruit at home (hmpf, yeah...one of those things that burlesque brought in to my life: never throw shit away because you might need it! This goes for all things blingy and strange). The problem arose when I  -being the absolute idiot in sewing anything, I realized I should put the grapes on the arse. Yes.
Because it´s funny and because it´s stupid.
Well, I have some frillies on my pants on my bum. So after knickering and knackering for a while and getting that goddamn fruit there I realized the grapes will get STUCK on the frillies!!!
Sometimes it´s a good thing to have a very practical person living with you. As now. "Do you want the humor-degree to go up when the grapes get stuck?".......Well when you put it that way.... So, knickering, knackering everything off and everything from the start. So snap said the snappers. Oh, not to mention the new snaps are smaller in size than the previous ones so being this tired it made an extra little excitement to the whole thing :) But alas, it´s done and that´s that.
I also filled in my ESTA-application since I´m going to Florida next week Sunday (3rd of June). If you have any good ideas of what to do around Delray (Miami) please let me know! Next week will be something...all from sexual councelling-classes to coaching a dance group to having my class of teens to my house to saying good-bye to my work-as-I-knew-it.... *phew* Maybe a holiday in the hot sun will be just what the Doctor ordered me at the end of it all?
