I just got back home after an AMAZING time in Vienna!!! Thank you Jacques Patriaque & the whole wonderful crew for organizing and helping! Also a huge thank you to everyone in the audience and the bloody crazy-brilliant-performers I got to be with! I´ll get back to you on this but right now I need to unpack and get ready for school´s out tomorrow... Phew! *washing glitter off as we speak*
For now this lovely blurry thing sums it up pretty well :)
Oh gawds, I am almost packed for the trip to Vienna! Tomorrow me, Pepper Sparkles and Lola Vanilla head south to perform with a HUGE line up on Wednesday for the queerlesque warm up party! We then, of course, got tickets to see the main event with some of the créme de la créme of boylesquers from around the globe for Thursday where we will be rooting for our very own Sir Willy Waterlily! I am exhausted (teacher´s May...plus some seriously early morning wake ups lately) but extatic!!! FINALLY meeting my idol World Famous *BOB* as well as some old friends ( Miss Anne Trophy, I´m coming for ya gurl!) and hopefully making many new ones as well <3
I´ve been performing since 2010 and never dropped a pastie or tassel...until last night :)
Sinsational Spring Awakening was HOT! And I mean literally: we´ve had a heatwave in Finland, +30C for a week so every place is *steaming*. The venue was at the oldest restaurant still in use in Hellsinki so I´m guessing the AC is not really up-to-date (everything else is wonderful!) and the backstage was crazy hot! You had sweat running down your body even before you took one step! I was dying in my outfit - a full-sequined dress and that glorious Star Boa made by Fannie Annie (all fantastic 3 meters of it) and had to give up on my tassel glue: they just kept popping! Thank you Pepper for lending me your mat tape...but not even THAT could keep my tassel on during the crazy twirling in the cats-duo :D
One thing I have learned is that whatever happens on stage you just have to own it and keep on going. So I did, -boobs galore and just ripped the other one off as well in the end. Trying to cover it with one hand would have just made the whole coreo a mess. Besides: it´s just a breat right? Fun part was my mother and my step-dad were in the audience as were a lot of my colleagues from my day-job haha! Got a lot of cheers for a good attitude and I wan´t the only one who popped that night, my girl Tinker Bell and some others joined that club as well! WOOP!
Started packing for Vienna since me, Pepper and Lola fly out this Tuesday. CRAZY! I´m really nervous but very very excited! Right now I´m mostly worried that my bags will get lost on the way since we have a flight change in Riga...yikes.
Thank you Bettie Blackheart for last night! You´re one amazing power house of a woman <3
Saturday is here before you have time to sneeze and that means one thing and one thing only: the Sinsational Spring Awakening is here! I´ve mentioned before that this year the theme is animal kingdom and me and Thee Daisies will all bring brand new solo-numbers plus get some crazy kitty-action going on stage! Tickets are sure selling fast so get yours, there might be none left at the door...
Here´s a sneak peak to my new "Zigoto" number... Have a great night <3
My head piece is made by Tiisin Design.
Undergarments are by Tyra Therman , the dress design idea is by me and made true on every level by the ever so lovely Ansku at Saramai.
Just a week to go to the Sinsational Spring Awakening! Be sure to get those tickets from Tiketti so you won´t be left ashore! Ravintola Kaisaniemi will be on FIRE! Theme this year is the animal kingdom :)

It´s that time of the year again!!! As in: Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). As happy as I am for our Finnish lads to have made the final I am even MORE exited about Austria´s Conchita Wurst!!! I love drag in all it´s forms and I really think she is breaking a mold here with her thing.
Tomorrow night - at the same time as the live shows - I´ll be performing at a private gig but hope to get home in time for the countdown and I so so SO hope Ms. Wurst will win! Such an amazing voice and WHAT a stage presence! Can´t WAIT to share the stage with her and multitudes of other wonderful performances at the first annual Vienna Boylesque Festival the 28th this month! <3
In case you have missed this: I love leopardprint. As in: LOVE. I remember back as a kid I used to snicker at my great aunt who wore it quite a bit. As a teen I thought it was the height of yuck! and tacky as hell. Now I rarely, -if ever, leave the house without at least one piece of leopard on me. It´s become a joke and my "brand", so much so that my niece knows me as "Pantermoster" (panther auntie) and my students probably think I´m nuts :) My mother keeps buying me things (sofa cushions, an umbrella, clothes...) in that print. My husband asked if this is something that women get "with age" ...which I really can´t answer except that in my case it has been so.
I am proud to be a part of the Leopardprint Tribe, a clan of people all over the world that boldly flaunt the animal side of their being! It makes me also very happy that a lot of the Glitter Tribe aka burlesquers love leopard :) So today is our day: the International Leopardprint Day! Grrauh!
First of may is celebrated in Finland as the day of the workers and the students, tomorrow there will be a whole lot of hungover people having brunch in the bigger parks as well as lost balloons in the air :) Happy first if May, folks!
I went to my sisters´ housewarming, drove back and *finally* got my music mixed for my upcoming number that has been under the name of "Albatross". It now has a new name: ZIGOTO. Yes, I do realize it means a zygote in some languages but I´ve chosen the meaning of the French "odd bird" or "weirdo" ( ´outo lintu´ in Finnish, -you know with the bird-theme and all). Not that I see so much wrong with the other meaning... I am trying to do something on stage that I have not really been at before ;)
So, happy Vappu and First of May to ya´ll and be well and safe! if you want to see the odd bird flying (or attempting to) do get tickets for the Sinsational Spring Awakening! My mother has hers already! <3
