I just got back home after an AMAZING time in Vienna!!! Thank you Jacques Patriaque & the whole wonderful crew for organizing and helping! Also a huge thank you to everyone in the audience and the bloody crazy-brilliant-performers I got to be with! I´ll get back to you on this but right now I need to unpack and get ready for school´s out tomorrow... Phew! *washing glitter off as we speak*

Oh gawds, I am almost packed for the trip to Vienna! Tomorrow me, Pepper Sparkles and Lola Vanilla head south to perform with a HUGE line up on Wednesday for the queerlesque warm up party! We then, of course, got tickets to see the main event with some of the créme de la créme of boylesquers from around the globe for Thursday where we will be rooting for our very own Sir Willy Waterlily! I am exhausted (teacher´s May...plus some seriously early morning wake ups lately) but extatic!!! FINALLY meeting my idol World Famous *BOB* as well as some old friends ( Miss Anne Trophy, I´m coming for ya gurl!) and hopefully making many new ones as well <3
I´ve been performing since 2010 and never dropped a pastie or tassel...until last night :)
Sinsational Spring Awakening was HOT! And I mean literally: we´ve had a heatwave in Finland, +30C for a week so every place is *steaming*. The venue was at the oldest restaurant still in use in Hellsinki so I´m guessing the AC is not really up-to-date (everything else is wonderful!) and the backstage was crazy hot! You had sweat running down your body even before you took one step! I was dying in my outfit - a full-sequined dress and that glorious Star Boa made by Fannie Annie (all fantastic 3 meters of it) and had to give up on my tassel glue: they just kept popping! Thank you Pepper for lending me your mat tape...but not even THAT could keep my tassel on during the crazy twirling in the cats-duo :D
One thing I have learned is that whatever happens on stage you just have to own it and keep on going. So I did, -boobs galore and just ripped the other one off as well in the end. Trying to cover it with one hand would have just made the whole coreo a mess. Besides: it´s just a breat right? Fun part was my mother and my step-dad were in the audience as were a lot of my colleagues from my day-job haha! Got a lot of cheers for a good attitude and I wan´t the only one who popped that night, my girl Tinker Bell and some others joined that club as well! WOOP!
Started packing for Vienna since me, Pepper and Lola fly out this Tuesday. CRAZY! I´m really nervous but very very excited! Right now I´m mostly worried that my bags will get lost on the way since we have a flight change in Riga...yikes.

It´s that time of the year again!!! As in: Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). As happy as I am for our Finnish lads to have made the final I am even MORE exited about Austria´s Conchita Wurst!!! I love drag in all it´s forms and I really think she is breaking a mold here with her thing.
Tomorrow night - at the same time as the live shows - I´ll be performing at a private gig but hope to get home in time for the countdown and I so so SO hope Ms. Wurst will win! Such an amazing voice and WHAT a stage presence! Can´t WAIT to share the stage with her and multitudes of other wonderful performances at the first annual Vienna Boylesque Festival the 28th this month! <3
Just when I thought this week can´t get any better, you know with HBF and all, I get some pretty friggin´AWESOME news!!! I have been accepted to perform at the First Annual Vienna Boylesque Festival this March! To make it even MORE special, so has my darling Pepper Sparkles so Thee Dizzy Daisies are well represented :) AND my darlings Sir Willy Waterlily and miss Lola Vanilla are coming, too!!! A proper Finnish delegation haha!
There´s some amazing performers like Tigger!, Russel Bruner and Miss Anne Trophy and they are still announcing more but one of the things that got me (if possible) even more stoked is that I *finally' get to meet my Idol World Famous *BOB*, who is MC´ing the event! Gawd, I had to do 1,5h worth of weight-training tonight just to calm myself down!!! WOOP!!!! Thank you Jacques Patriaque for the honor!
Oh behold! I´ve been ranting about the amazing Finnish boylesque scene before, you know with the testicle festival- all male happening last February and our own Godfather of Manlesque Frank Doggenstein and so on... Now we have another reason to hoot! My boy Rudie Ruthless is performing this Wednesday @ the Slipper Room in NYC! And he will be the stage kitten (or pick-up, as we say here) at the Friday event for the NY Boylesque Festival! If you´re still wondering about what boylesque is about you can read some quotes from the performers here!

tonight is The Night. The first night of Helsinki Burlesque Festival and Thee Dizzy Daisies are doing our brand new number. I haven´t been sleeping properly for a week now, going through coreography in my head and having nightmares about major cock-up´s on stage but I have been getting some help for the nerves...from some of the best around: Sydni Deveraux, Scotty the Blue Bunny and the Reigning Queen of Burlesque herself: Miss Indigo Blue. Thanks you all for inspiration, kindness and laughter.
I attended all of their workshops this week so it has been "a soft landing" or a glittery slide in to these main events. And last night there was the Fiery Warm Up Club at Dubrovnik with the legendary Satans Angel telling her stories and some hot acts to follow. Tomorrow I´ll attend Angel´s workshop and then do pick up-duties with Pepper and Sandy... I´m so excited that I think I might die. Mostly nervous. But, as Scotty taught: I´ll do me bestest to turn that adrenalin into positive things :) I hope to see you all tonight! There will be world class acts both nights, you do NOT want to miss this!

I should be in bed. Really I should. But I just came back from an evening with drag queens, a competition no less so sleep is irrelevant. I have to say I take my hat off for those who judge those things, -I would NOT want to get the anger of a discarded drag queen upon me!
Anyway, on that note I was scrolling in Lola Vanillas fb-pictures and found these taken at the Finnish Burlesque Gala a few weeks back. Sorry love - I stole them :)
Boylesque is marvellous. And we have some excellent boylesque in Finland, both solo performers and then this: The Hell Monty. I´m in luuuv!!!
If you ever get a chance to see them anywhere GO! I´m not going to go into this anymore in this state of mind, one has to see it to believe it.
